Initiation to decentralize of theatre

Since its inception, Anuswar has tried to stay active all the time. Therefore, in addition to regular drama rehearsals, shows, workshops, chats, reading sessions, interactions, film screenings etc. we have also taken the initiative to organize theatre festivals and events. Such an initiative is ‘Initiation to decentralize of theatre’. The aim of this initiative is to improve the relationship with the theatre groups outside the capital and to convey our work to the audience there. Under which Anuswar will organize plays on outside Dhaka from time to time with any other group or alone. In the meantime, the first event of this initiative has been held jointly with theatre group `Upstage’ on 16th and 17th January 2020 at Theater Institute, Chittagong. So that two plays of Buddhadeb Basu were staged. Anuswar staged Mohammad Bari directed ‘Anuddharaniya’ and Upstage directed Saif Sumon directed ‘Rat vo’re Briaty’.

1st Arrangement : Chittagong

Buddhadeva Bose was one of the few glorious litterateur who traveled parallel in almost all branches of Bengali literature after Rabindranath Tagore. Theater group Upstage and Anuswar staged two plays in the port city of chittagong with the theatrical version of a novel and a story by this great writer. On the opening day, January 17, at 7 pm, Upstage staged their play ‘Raat Va’re Brishti’. Saif Sumon has directed the play what based on a novel of Buddhadeva Bose. The play which about the continuous friction between men and women in marital life has received a lot of praise in scholars. On the second day of the festival January 17, at the same time, Anuswar will be staging their first production ‘Anuddharaniya’. Mohammad Bari has directed the play based on the story of Buddhadeb Basu.
