Mohammed Bari
Anuswar’s team leader. He is also an actor, director, playwright and well-known organizer in the theater. Born on April 3, 1961 in Damodarpur, a suburb of Rangpur. Mohammad Bari has been involved in various cultural activities at the district level since his childhood. He won the National Children’s Award in 1986. His theatrical journey started by holding the hand of SM Solaiman who is a Ekushey Medal winning drama personality. In 1992, he formed a theater troupe with SM Solaiman. Until July 2019, he was the chief coordinator of the team. During this time he acted in a number of popular dramas including Court Marshal, Golapjan, Kal Sakale, Trinaparne Shaal Manjari. He has directed popular dramas such as Mullya Amullya (2020), Anudharaniya (2016), Badh (2014), Janam Dukhhi Ma (Street dram, 2013), Shesher Kabita (2011) and Samay Projoyjane (2005). On July 25, 2019, he formed a new theater troupe ‘Anuswar’ and took over the responsibility of the team leader. Besides theatre, Mohammad Bari has also put his signature experience in acting in television dramas and movies.
Mohammad Bari is one of the leading contemporary director and organizer on the Dhaka stage. He has also good reputation outside the country. In recognition of his contribution to theatre, he has received 40 years of festival honors of Aranyak and Jahangirnagar University’s Jahangirnagar Theater Award in recognition of his contribution to the country. Outside the country, he has received two priests and artisans from the Murshidabad district of West Bengal, India, the Bahrampur Award and the Orissa Natya Ashish Award.
Mohammad Bari is the father of two children. He is working as the Chief Scientific Officer of the Soil Resources Development Institute under the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of Bangladesh.
